Easter Seals has been serving people with disabilities and special needs in greater Waterbury and northwestern Connecticut since 1958.  Our mission is to assist individuals and their families to gain maximum functional independence in the community through developmental, vocational, educational and medical services.  By focusing on an individual’s potential, Easter Seals helps its clients exceed expectations and lead full lives.  We help create solutions and change lives.  The thousands of people we serve each year are at the heart of all we do.

 Last year the Easter Seal Rehabilitation Center of Greater Waterbury:

• Provided quality services and programs to over 5,400 people in our community
• Provided substantive vocational programs and services to over 500 individuals
• Provided audiology, hearing services and early intervention services to 4,732 individuals and families
• Offered family support services to over 200 area individuals and families
• Provided janitorial/cleaning services to 83 businesses
• Provided assembly and packaging services to 40 businesses
• Assisted more than 400 individuals secure competitive employment with over 200 employers

Easter Seals is accredited by CARF - The Commission for Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.  The accreditation is the highest level by the nation's leading accreditation authority in the fields of medical rehabilitation, behavioral health and community services.
